About Us
Philippine Language and Cultural Association of Australia, Inc. (PLCAA ) is a non profit organisation based in Penrith.
PLCAA Mission
To promote the learning and utilisation of the Filipino language among the Australian-Filipinos and the wider community as part of the initiative to increase awareness and understanding of the Philippine heritage, culture and values.
PLCAA Vision
To develop the ability of communicating in the Filipino language making Australian-Filipinos appreciate the value of knowing their Filipino heritage in the development of an individual as they take an active role in the community.
PLCAA Objectives
1. To promote and appreciate the value of knowing Philippine heritage and culture through the learning and utilisation of the Filipino language.
2. To foster cooperation, friendship and unity among the Australian-Filipinos in the Penrith area of New South Wales and the Australian community in general.
3. To act as a source of information regarding the activities, accomplishments, aspirations and areas of concern among the Australian-Filipinos in the Penrith area.
4. To identify and address issues concerning the Australian-Filipinos in the Penrith area of NSW through its coordination with the Penrith City Council.
5. To encourage active participation of the Australian-Filipinos in the activities of the Penrith City Council and of other organisations in Penrith.
6. To serve as ambassadors of the Australian-Filipinos in Penrith through the functions and operations of the Penrith Community Filipino School.
